In the church in the neighboring Kikowo, a plaque is embedded, dedicated to the outstanding Lutheran theologian, pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was murdered in 1945 in the Flossenburg camp for anti-Nazi activities.

The famous pastor preached here during visits to his friend Ruth von Kleist-Retzow (he was engaged to her granddaughter Maria Wedemeyer).
