ul. Brzozowa Unique!
For sale a unique apartment in a historic tenement house located in the heart of the Old Town in Warsaw.
This unique place, known as "Dom Profesorow", combines historical charm with modern conveniences, creating ideal conditions for living or short-term rental.
History of the Tenement:
The building was erected as a granary in 1633 by councilor Baltazar Strubic. Above the entrance, there is even a foundation plaque from 1637 with the coats of arms of Brochwicz and Doliwa, belonging to Strubic and his wife. In the early 19th century, the granary was converted into a residential tenement in connection with the neighboring property Bugaj No. 9. The passage to Brzozowa Street was led by a wooden bridge coming out from the second floor of the tenement. At the beginning of the 20th century, the "Gdanski" hotel was located here. Both the House and the bridge still exist today, but in a reconstructed form after rebuilding from war damage. During the Warsaw Uprising, the House was an impregnable bastion defended by soldiers of the 104th Company of the Polish Syndicate Union AK "Rog", along with professor families.
