Along the eastern shore stretches the Kulka nature reserve, on the western side is a recreation center and a camping site (about 2.5 km from the plot).
Lake Ransk - known as the zander lake, but currently dominated by roach, perch, carp, tench, crucian carp, and eel. The surface area of the water mirror is about 291.3 ha, the maximum depth of this lake is 7.8 m, while the average depth is 3.8 m. There are two islands on the lake with an area of about 2.4 ha (about 4.3 km from the plot).
Lake Marksoby - is elongated and narrow. Fishing-wise, the lakes are classified as bream type. The lake is open through streams: the Marksobski Canal connects with Lake Walpusz, and to the south flows the Jerutka River (Rozoga), which eventually connects with the Narew. A quiet zone applies to the entire lake and its shores. The surface area of the water mirror is about 154 ha. The maximum depth of this lake is 10.2 m (about 6.3 km from the plot).
Lake Babiety Wielkie - this lake lies on the tourist water route Sorkwity - Lake Nidzkie. The surface area of the water mirror is 264 ha, the maximum depth of this lake is 65 m. This lake is known for abundant fish catches such as: salmon, whitefish, bleak, roach, bream, rudd, perch, pike, zander, burbot, eel, ruffe, tench (about 7.5 km from the plot).
Lake Babiety Male (Babant Maly) - the surface area of the lake is about 66.83 ha, the maximum depth of this lake is 7.5 m. From the northwestern side, the Babant River flows into the lake. The slopes of the lake are steep, surrounded by meadows, forests, and arable fields (about 12 km from the plot).
