History of the property:
The palace and park complex was established at the end of the 19th century by the owner of the village of Zuklin and the nearby town of Kańczuga, Józef Kellerman, who was a January Uprising participant. The park was designed based on an earlier layout from the early 19th century. The Kellermans owned Kańczuga since 1812. Zuklin came into their possession only in the second half of the 19th century - as late as 1855, it belonged to Baron Geminger. The Kellermans remained the owners of Kańczuga and Zuklin until 1393. In the town, there was their Fiat car body factory. The palace has retained its shape and representative character since its inception. The interior has undergone significant changes, mainly in terms of furnishings and functional changes. The building was rebuilt in 1948 for use as a school, first as a general secondary school and then as a primary school. Since 1988, the building has been unused to this day. The guardhouse was built in the late 19th century as part of the palace and park complex, its shape and elevation refer to Polish manor architecture. In the post-war period, it was used as a residence, currently unused, with significant internal and external damage.
