The reserve was created to protect the only site of the common lady's slipper in Greater Poland, the largest Polish orchid, which occurs here together with the gold lily. The reserve includes a fragment of deciduous forest with a predominance of oaks and a large share of larches. Also noteworthy is the several hundred meter long, rarely found willow alley located in the northern part of the village towards Gaj Wielki, which is a typical and inseparable element of the landscape of Polish villages. In the forest, 3.5 km north of the village, there is a place where in the autumn of 1939, the Nazis executed about 260 people, and where the victims murdered in other places were buried. There is currently a monument there. Grzebienisko, as a small village in the Duszniki commune, is a place where tradition and history play an important role, and the clean air of Duszniki and the surrounding greenery attract many tourists. ACCESS - the village is located about 30 km from Poznan, driving by car on road 92 to Pniewy, in Gaj Wielki we turn left to Grzebienisko and only 10 minutes drive to the center of the village. The village has a kindergarten, primary school, Village Cultural Center, library, health center, chapel of the Holy Trinity and St. Isidore, Volunteer Fire Department; municipal waste dump. An association referring to the traditions of shooting brotherhoods actively operates in the village; among others, there is a shooting range and the Museum of the Shooting Brotherhood.
