The passing form of this world. Just 20 thousand years ago, a glacier shone in this place in the rays of the sun, with a thickness exceeding 1 km. The era known to geologists as the North Polish Glaciation ended 12 thousand years ago. For thousands of years, subglacial waters carved long and narrow depressions called troughs, which were later filled with water, thus creating trough lakes. One such lake is Lake Kaldunskie (Kaldun, Kalduny Wielkie). Like other lakes in the Iława region, it is about 12 thousand years old. After the glacier receded, tundra dominated this place for the next 2 thousand years. 10 thousand years ago, birches were the first trees to appear here. Therefore, the dominant tree species is the silver birch, which refers to the tradition of the place (genius loci). *** Agricultural-residential plot (gm.
