HISTORY

Atmospheric Palace built around 1688 for Augustus II the Strong -

Elector of Saxony from the Wettin dynasty and King of Poland from 1697 -

1706 and 1709 - 1733. It served the king as a vacation residence during his frequent travels between Dresden and Warsaw. The Palace in Naroczyce is a unique place. At first glance, the minimalist structure hides an extraordinarily rich interior, where in almost every

room, one can hear the quiet whisper of history. The building offers enormous arrangement possibilities.

There is also the possibility of purchasing an area of 18000 m2 from the municipality of Rudna.

Next to the Palace is a historic park and nearby a unique baroque

granary from the late 18th century.

Naroczyce is an ideal place to create a heritage complex. The Palace has been entered into the register of monuments of the Legnica Voivodeship under no. 640/L, on 7.03.1983.

All this, combined with the extremely rich natural area in which it is located, creates the unique atmosphere of this place.

The Palace was restored in the 19th century. It was then renovated again in 1910. Currently, it is a four-story brick building with a rectangular plan, strongly accentuated by protruding central risalits on the central axis, both from the front and rear (garden) side, where the entrance portals are located. The risalits from the level of the two-pitched main roof are topped with triangular pediments. The side elevations of the building are topped with gables, which contain window openings arranged in two storeys of the attic. The corners of the palace are finished with double vertical pilasters. The planes of the elevation are emphasized by rectangular window openings framed in stone with accentuated upper corners. The central axis of the interior of the palace is marked by a spacious hall and staircase. The layout of the rooms is enfilade.

In the representative rooms - the living room and dining room, remnants of rich stucco decoration with acanthus motifs, laurel branches in the form of garlands, and the initials of King Augustus II the Strong have been preserved.

In the rooms located on the first floor of the palace, fragments of the original ceiling boarding with plant ornaments, painted in yellow-gold on a dark-blue background, have been preserved.

One of the ceilings is decorated with stuccos depicting five female busts: the wife and four favorites of the king - allegories of the senses: smell - bust of Miss von Sydow, taste - Aurora von Königsmarck, sight - Countess Cosel, hearing - portrait of an unknown lady, touch - Eberhardyna von Ansbach-Bayreuth

REPAIR ECONOMY

Technical condition of the palace:

From 2008 to 2010, the technical condition of the palace was significantly improved.

The following renovation works were carried out:

- completion of the walls of the ground floor risalit from the southeast side with full brick class 150 on cement-lime mortar,

- execution of a reinforced concrete coat over the entire ceiling with B-20 concrete 6 cm thick reinforced with a mesh with 10 x 10 openings with #4 mm rods,

- completion of the walls of the first floor risalit from the southeast side with full brick class 150 on cement-lime mortar,

- reconstruction of the arch with full brick on cement-lime mortar,

- execution of a reinforced concrete crown at the level of the finishing cornice with B 20 concrete reinforced with 4 # 12 mm rods with anchoring stirrups for the finishing cornice made of brick,

- bricking up cracks above window lintels and completing missing fragments of the finishing cornice,

- bricking up chimneys above the roof slope with clinker brick with caps,

- execution of the missing roof truss structure,

- dismantling the covering of the roof slope of one part, dismantling the lathing, thorough cleaning with steel brushes, trimming to healthy parts affected by insects, strengthening the roof truss, strengthening connections at nodes. Impregnation of existing elements with antox twice by smearing method. Execution of lathing with impregnated wood. Installation of sheet metal work at chimneys and gutters made of titanium-zinc sheet. Covering the roof slope with double crown tiles,

- execution of window carpentry.

LOCATION

Naroczyce is a charming and quiet village located in southwestern

Poland, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in the Lubin County, in the Rudna commune.

Undoubtedly, the asset of this region is the richness of fauna and flora. In the immediate vicinity of Naroczyce and nearby Chobienia, there is the ecological site Naroczycki Leg, which is a collection of forests, thickets, and meadows of the old Odra riverbed, where numerous clusters of protected plants and wetland birds occur.

This is an attractive area with a high degree of forestation, offering numerous cycling and hiking trails.

People today increasingly feel the need for contact with nature, especially with the wild, majestic nature that provides not only clean air but also a sense of harmony, beauty, and peace, with nature that most effectively heals the ailments of today's civilization. Naroczyce and its surroundings wonderfully meet this demand.
