The building survived numerous fires and destruction, and after World War II it was rebuilt in the years 1952–1953 according to the design of Mieczysław Kuzma and Józef Chodaczek. The facade of the tenement is decorated with animal-themed polychromes by Juliusz and Krystyna Studnicki, which adds to its unique character.
