Urban atmosphere, nature close by and culture at your fingertips
Industrial architecture in the former grain factory - Awangarda Mogilska in Krakow is a unique residential investment, whose original architecture gives an industrial, loft character and slim silhouette to the unusual building. The urban project located on Mogilska Street will center around an internal, green patio, offering in the first stage 278 apartments and 6 commercial units. The authors of the project are architects from the acclaimed Krakow studio B2 Studio.
The exceptional, cascade layout of the building, terraces, balconies or loggias, and large windows will provide residents with optimal sunlight access and views from upper floors over the city panorama and the Wawel Castle located 2.5 km away. The architectural solutions used by the designers of Awangarda Mogilska will create the impression of adjacent buildings with diverse styles, heights, shapes, and facade colors - in shades of black, red, and sandstone.
Residents will have access to three-level underground parking, including charging stations for electric vehicles and three bicycle storage areas. The designers took care to meet the needs of residents in well-planned apartments and within shared spaces. Easily accessible storage rooms on the floors next to the apartments will be provided for future residents, and the entrance to the building will be enhanced by the functioning mini art gallery in the lobby.
Sustainable solutions
In designing Awangarda Mogilska, we introduced many sustainable solutions that positively impact the state of the environment while also reducing maintenance costs. This is the first residential project in Krakow where Skanska will apply effective photovoltaic panels and a heat recovery system from ventilation, which uses heat pumps for pre-heating hot water. Additionally, future residents can expect anti-smog filters.
Rooms in the building will be equipped with touchless access control, and apartments will feature a home device management system called Appartme, commonly referred to as smart home, allowing residents of Awangarda Mogilska to control home devices and installations from a distance, such as adjusting room temperatures and consciously controlling usage costs.
Our goal is for Awangarda Mogilska to obtain a very good BREEAM certification, confirming that energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions have been implemented in the investment, increasing living comfort and rationally utilizing energy.
Advantages of the investment
Location
The excellent location of Awangarda Mogilska, convenient access to public transportation, and proximity to nature are the biggest advantages of the estate. Residents can reach the Planty and the Krakow Market area in literally about 10 minutes by tram. The estate will be built within a short walking distance from the Tauron Arena, while also being close to one of the most attractive green areas in the city – Lotników Park.
Nearby, there are many public buildings and community infrastructure, such as schools, health facilities, sports centers (including a swimming pool), as well as shopping malls, stores, restaurants, and cafes. The estate is being developed on the site of former grain plants, whose historical presence is emphasized by the surrounding historic buildings. Therefore, the original architecture will refer to the industrial heritage of this place, and the project name relates to the tradition of the avant-garde.
