Location information:Bartoszowka (until 1919 Skobelewka) - a village in Poland, located in the Mazovian Voivodeship, in Grodzisk County, in the municipality of Zabia Wola. It lies on the Pisia Tuczna river.
Until 1954, it was the seat of the Skuly commune. From 1954 to 1972, the village belonged to and was the seat of the Bartoszowka village council. From 1975 to 1998, the village administratively belonged to the Skierniewice Voivodeship. After the January Uprising, the Skuly estate was confiscated and leased, and after the Russo-Turkish War, these goods were given to General Mikhail Skobelew. He brought Russian settlers in 1878, who established the settlement of Skobelewka on the land given to them (in 1919, in honor of Bartosz Glowacki, the name was changed to Bartoszowka). Skuly and Bartoszowka are located between two forest complexes. The forest to the east of the village is mostly under strict protection (Skulski Forest reserve), while a small reserve of Skulskie Deby has been established in the forest to the west.
